Acts Annual Community Partnership Lunch
Rhondda Heritage Park Hotel 16th November 2010
Acts Community Church were delighted to celebrate the first anniversary of two of their community projects namely the Rhondda Foodbank and the Rhondda CAP ( Christians Against Poverty) Centre offering award winning debt counselling advice.
In attendance was a cross section of our community including referral agencies, community groups, housing associations, GPs, local church leaders, solicitors, local media to the lunchtime launch.

Special thank you to Baroness Illora Finlay of Llandaff who made a passionate address about the work of the Foodbank
It was exciting to hear that over 4000 meals had been provided in the last year in emergency situations around the Rhondda.
Our CAP Centre had helped over 40 households with in depth debt management advice.
We now had over 45 agencies referring people to either the Rhondda Foodbank or CAP centre.
The delegates were all treated to music from Welsh Proms pianist Catherine Wright.
