We have a number off Staff and Volunteers who keep things running
Lotan Matewere – Associate Pastor and Children and Young People Overseer
Lotan has worked with children and young people throughout his career in schools, churches, sports and community settings, across both statutory and voluntary sectors. He is also a basketball coach.
He is passionate about seeing lives transformed and helping people find a home, not only at ACTS but also in the family of God. He enjoys sports and travelling.
Lynne Evans – Community Engagement (Volunteer)
Lynne comes from a teaching background and has a real heart for the community. She leads and supports several ACTS ministries, including Caffi Cresio, the After School Club and Warm Welcome. She also serves as our treasurer.
She loves seeing people in Tylorstown enjoying opportunities, building relationships and living fulfilling lives. Outside church, she enjoys running and spending time with her family.
Peter Akagbosu – Community Engagement Officer
Peter has a professional background in health and safety within the construction, oil and gas industries.
He enjoys meeting and encouraging people, getting to know the community and hearing people's stories. He believes there is always something to learn from others.
He loves football and sports in general, and enjoys singing, especially when nobody is listening!
Amy Comey – Community Engagement Officer
Amy is a Rhondda girl from Maerdy, with a background in care work and schools.
She has a natural gift for connecting with people across generations and enjoys building relationships through conversations and activities. She loves working with people and contributing to the community, particularly through activities with children and young people.
She is also a bit of a baby magnet at The Ark @ ACTS – the little ones seem to love her!
Outside work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Safeguarding
Our Safeguarding officers are there to make sure that children and vulnerable adults are protected.
